Welding InstructorTennessee College of Applied Technology Morristown is accepting applications for the position of a full time evening Welding Instructor. The position is located at the Greene Technology Center campus in Greeneville, Tennessee.

Required Qualifications
- Must have Technical Training Diploma, Associates Degree preferred
- Must be proficient in: Oxyacetylene Cutting, Plasma Cutting, Oxyacetylene Welding, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Pipefitting, Blueprint Reading, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years related work experience
- Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher
- Must remain current in the welding profession and maintain program outcomes for completion and placement of graduates
- Must show evidence of teaching experience/ability
- Must have ability to interact with adult students
- Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality
- Must possess computer skills
- Must have ability to complete reports/paperwork and meet deadlines
- Must be willing to work flexible hours
Responsibilities
- Responsible for teaching all phases of the program to include theory and practical instruction of the curriculum
- Must monitor and evaluate student progress; accurately maintain program and student records
- Must maintain an active advisory committee and communicate with business and industry on a regular basis
- Other duties include curriculum development and updates, student record keeping, student recruitment, placement and follow-up
- Continue personal training and professional development to stay abreast of changes in the industry
